Find amazing vintage photos of your home in the State Archives

Did you know that if your home was built prior to 1930, there may be a photo of it in the State Archives that you can get your hands on?

These records are not available on the internet, so you should contact the archives directly to place an order.It takes a couple weeks to receive the photo and for a little extra, you may be able to order other records of the home that they have available.

The example below shows homes in West Seattle at 45th Avenue SW and Sunset.

To place an order for a photo of your home from the Puget Sound Archives, click here to send an email. You will need to provide the following information:

  • Property address
  • Tax Parcel Number (Contact our office and one of our Brokers can help you)
  • Legal Description (lot/block…just a brief one)
  • Your name and contact info

You can order anything from a 5×7 to a 16 x 20 copy. The archives will let you know what years are available. Wouldn’t this make a great gift for a housewarming or the history buff in your family?
